LOFT B-ZULU

A loft for a second home and studio space sits at the core of Berlin.

Undoubtedly, the presence of the diverse cultures and life rhythms in the surrounding are energy boosters for the everyday life. Merging outside city vibes with the resident’s memories brings together Africa and industrial buildings into one home.

Interpreting the loft space in two different ways, the first view gose towards the front, on an open floor plan overlooking the streets of Berlin. This area needed a strong structure with a darker and heavier aesthetic capable of soaking up the energy waves of the city.

The second space is towards the private area of the bedroom, with the view on the roofs of nearby buildings. Here the spatial concept is calm, recalling a spa atmosphere that is reducing the speed of the big city. A place where the resident can relax. Light colours and natural textures guide towards self reflection.
