smART Hotel

The OpartHotel combines the functions of meeting areas with the form language of Op Art.

This art - also called optical art - originates from the sixties and is created with the help of precise form patterns and geometric color figures to create illusions and deceptions.

Some of these phenomena are integrated in the different floors of the hotel. In the entrance area the space is covered with the illusion of reception, whilst the bar and breakfast area are structured by stripes on the walls. As one walks by, a flicker effect is created, common in Op Art.

There are four double rooms located on the first floor, which are arranged to create an accelerated perspective illusion. On the second floor, located next to another four double rooms, there are large work spaces with moving elements, located in three smaller cells that can be separated.
